Two young girls have tragically lost their lives after being bitten by snakes in Gulariya Municipality-1, Bardiya district.
A nine-month-old infant succumbed to the snakebite while sleeping with her mother. Despite being rushed to Gularia Hospital, the child could not be saved, according to Dr. Subhash Pandey, the hospital’s Medical Superintendent.
In a similar incident, an eleven-month-old girl from Beltari in the same ward also died from a snakebite.
Another child, six-year-old Riya Chaudhary from Madhuvan Municipality-2, was severely injured by a snake and has been referred to Bheri Hospital in Nepalgunj for advanced treatment.
