Pyuthan: Two individuals have tragically lost their lives in the Pyuthan district after being swept away by the Madi River.
According to Police Inspector Nabin Kumar Thapa Chhetri of Area Police Office Bhingri, the bodies of 75-year-old Jaganath Adhikari from Swargadwari Municipality-5 Tallo Sari and 63-year-old Damodar Khanal from Swargadwari-3 Chirabari were recovered from the river.
Adhikari, who had been missing since Wednesday, was found 200 meters downstream of the Bailey bridge connecting Tapa and Barjiwang in Bhingri on Friday afternoon.
Khanal was swept away by the river while bathing near the Bailey Bridge after visiting the Swargadwari temple. His body was recovered from Ghantikhola Dobhan in Gothiwang.
