The US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate located in Palm Beach, Florida will be getting additional security for the upcoming Halloween because the deployment of ground-based air defense systems will take place near the estate as well as at the Donald J. Trump International Airport.

The deployment of such military units has become possible due to the request of the US Secret Service, while the increased security will be provided by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and US Northern Command. This kind of equipment aims to protect from any kind of aerial attack, including drones and planes.

Moreover, the local media outlets have announced that air defense equipment has been installed at a barge at the Intracoastal Waterway near Mar-a-Lago. The measures have been undertaken amid increased security for the president’s property in Florida. However, the threat which became the reason for the most recent deployment is not clear.
