A tragic tractor accident occurred on Saturday night on the East-West Highway near Lamkichuha Municipality-3 Dhunge Bazar, Kailali. The incident, which took place around 11:50 PM, resulted in the death of the driver and serious injuries to the passenger.
Tractor Bhe 1 Ta 8735 lost control and veered off the road, plunging into a nearby drain. Both the driver, identified as 21-year-old Sher Bahadur Nepali from Panchapuri Municipality-2, Surkhet, and the passenger, 20-year-old Dil Bahadur Nepali, sustained significant injuries.
Emergency services rushed the victims to Lal Ratna Hospital Lamki for immediate medical attention. However, due to the severity of Sher Bahadur’s injuries, he required further treatment and was transferred to Tikapur Hospital at 1:30 AM. Sadly, Sher Bahadur succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Tikapur Hospital.
Dil Bahadur remains hospitalized at Lal Ratna Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his serious injuries.
The Provincial Traffic Police Office in Attaria is investigating the cause of the accident.
