At least three people were killed and 17 others injured in a road accident along the East-West Highway in Sarlahi district on Thursday morning.
A bus traveling from Bhairahawa to Janakpur collided with a parked Indian cargo truck on the side of the road in Bagmati Municipality-1.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Shrestha, all three fatalities were men from Rupandehi district. The injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals. The bus driver is currently in police custody as authorities investigate the cause of the accident.
