Doom: The Dark Ages will have its collector’s edition

Yesterday through the Xbox Developer Direct one of the biggest announcements of the year was finally made, and that was the revelation of the release date of Doom: The Dark Ages, a game presented last year during the summer and that generated a lot of expectation among fans. And now that we have the day confirmed, Bethesda gave an additional surprise for those who love collecting physical editions.

The collector’s edition, priced at $199.99 USD, includes a number of exclusive physical and digital items. Among them, a 12-inch statue of the Doom Slayer stands out with a design inspired by medieval aesthetics, which shows him in knight’s armor and with his shotgun and chain shield. The package also includes a steelbook decorated with infernal runes and a replica of the red key card, a tribute to the classic elements of the saga.

On the digital front, buyers will receive the base game in physical form for consoles and in code for PC, along with the divinity skin pack, access to planned DLC content and up to two days of early access to the game. This additional content expands players’ experience as they join the Night Sentinels to combat the forces of Hell on Argent D’Nur.

Doom The Dark Ages Collector's Edition

Additionally, Doom: The Dark Ages will be a day one release on Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers to enjoy the game at no additional cost. With this new thematic direction and the promise of gameplay innovations, the game seeks to keep the franchise’s relevance alive, following the successful resurgence that began with the 2016 reboot and was cemented with Eternal.

Remember that the game will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 15.
