Chitwan: A collision between a bus and a truck on the East-West Highway at Pampha Bridge in Rapti Municipality-5, Chitwan, resulted in injuries to ten passengers this morning.
The Kathmandu-bound bus (BA PRA 01-006 KKHA 4799) collided with a truck (NA 6 KHA 5927) traveling in the same direction. Seven of the injured passengers are reported to be in moderate condition, while three have sustained minor injuries.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at two hospitals in Bharatpur: College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital and Alive Hospital and Trauma Center.
Both the bus driver, Santosh Kumar Yadav (40) from Saptari and the truck driver, Nirkumar Pradhan (35) from Ramechhap, have been detained by the police for further investigation.
