We are getting closer and closer to what we hope to be the definitive release date of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the new chapter of the Ubisoft series set in feudal Japan: while waiting for the launch of the game, currently scheduled for March 20th, the developers they offer a trailer that introduces us to the story and characters.
The story trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows appeared in these minutes on the series’ official social channels and, in its more than 2 minutes of duration, it allowed us to get to know the protagonists of the new adventure more closely.
Let’s read the official synopsis that introduces us to the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows:
Japan, 1579 – The nation is experiencing a violent process of unification by the inflexible daimyō Oda Nobunaga. Riots and battles escalate, alliances shift, and treacherous foreign forces enter the region. Following the bloody invasion of the peaceful province of Iga, a young shinobi begins a journey in an attempt to keep a difficult promise, while a legendary samurai finds a new reason for living by facing the demons of his past.

Will Assassin’s Creed Shadows be able to turn around the fortunes of Ubisoft, a video game production company going through a deep crisis which also led to the closure of some important teams and consequent projects? We’ll find out very soon.
