Spain booked their place in the Euro 2024 quarterfinals after a thrilling comeback victory over Georgia on Sunday night. Despite conceding an own goal early in the first half, Spain roared back to win 4-1.

Georgia stunned the favorites by taking the lead in the 18th minute when Spain’s Robin Le Normand deflected a cross into his own net. However, Spain responded with a dominant second-half performance. Rodri equalized just before halftime, and then the floodgates opened.

Fabian Ruiz headed home in the 51st minute to put Spain ahead for the first time. Nico Williams and Dani Olmo added further goals in the 75th and 83rd minutes respectively, sealing a convincing victory.

This sets up a mouthwatering quarterfinal clash against host nation Germany, who also cruised to a 2-0 victory over Denmark. Both sides are considered frontrunners for the title, making for a highly anticipated encounter.
