Jhapa: Six men have been arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl in Jhapa district. The incident occurred on Friday night.
According to police, the victim was lured to a local market under the pretext of a walk. She was then taken to a hotel where the assault took place. Six individuals, including the hotel owner and employees, have been apprehended.
The arrested suspects are Anish Limbu (19), Saroj Rai (34), Keshav Magar (25), Sudeep Shrestha (20), Sujan Dangi (20), and Lanka Rajbanshi. One suspect remains at large.
The victim’s condition is reported to be stable. The police are preparing to file charges against the arrested individuals.
