Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321 Diverts to Bangkok After Encountering Severe Turbulence, One Passenger Dead

Singapore Airlines flight SQ321, traveling from London to Singapore, was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok on May 21st, 2024, after experiencing severe turbulence.

Tragically, one passenger has died as a result of the incident. At least 30 other passengers were injured and received medical attention upon landing in Bangkok.

The Boeing 777-300ER, carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members, diverted to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 3:45 pm local time.

“Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased,” the airline stated.

The airline is working alongside Thai authorities to ensure proper medical care for those injured. Additionally, a team from Singapore Airlines has been dispatched to Bangkok to assist passengers and crew on the ground.
