Tokyo: A Singapore Airlines flight experienced a frightening ordeal on Monday morning when smoke was observed billowing from its engine upon landing at Narita International Airport. The incident led to the immediate closure of one of the airport’s primary runways.

Flight SQ638, which had just touched down on Runway B, came to a halt on a taxiway as emergency crews rushed to the scene. The aircraft was encircled by fire engines as precautionary measures were implemented.
