A Shree Airlines flight en route to Surkhet was forced to make an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport early this morning.
The flight, SHA 121, was bound for Surkhet when the crew identified a technical issue. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft was immediately diverted back to Kathmandu and landed safely at approximately 8 AM.
Following the landing, the plane remained on the runway for a brief period while airport officials assessed the situation. According to airport sources, the aircraft experienced a “nose wheel lock” issue.
This was the first flight of the day for Shree Airlines, and subsequent flights have been operating normally.
