Palpa: A bus carrying passengers from Butwal to Pokhara met with an accident in Tinau Rural Municipality-5, Jordhara, along the Palpa-Siddharth Highway on Monday. The incident resulted in injuries to seven people.
The ill-fated bus, bearing registration number GA 2 KHA 1225, veered off the road and collided with a roadside wall. The injured passengers, comprising residents from various districts including Nawalparasi, Syangja, Kaski, and Tansen, were immediately rushed to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas in Tansen for medical treatment.
Residents and police personnel collaborated to rescue the injured and transport them to the hospital. The bus driver, Shekhar Koirala from Syangja, has been detained by the police for further investigation into the cause of the accident.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
