Three school officials, initially detained in connection with the death of 14-year-old Shalin Pokharel, have been released on bail by the Chitwan District Court. Principal Balhari Devkota, Vice Principal Kiran Bahadur Adhikari, and Hostel Warden Kamal Prasad Sharma were granted bail after an investigation confirmed Shalini’s death as a suicide.
Judge Ramesh Prasad Gyawali set bail amounts at Rs 300,000 for Principal Devkota and Rs 500,000 each for Vice Principal Adhikari and Hostel Warden Sharma. The three were originally detained on charges of abetment to suicide.
