Kathmandu: Due to the poor condition of Dasharath Stadium, the venue for the SAFF U-20 Championship has been changed. All league-stage matches will now be held at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
The decision was made after the match commissioner deemed the Dasharath Stadium unfit to host the tournament. The venue change also resulted in a revised match schedule, with all matches at the ANFA Complex kicking off at 3 PM.
Nepal will open the championship against Sri Lanka at 3 PM on the opening day.
A total of six countries are participating in the tournament divided into two groups. Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are in Group A, while India, Maldives, and Bhutan are in Group B.
The decision to shift the venue aims to ensure a smooth and competitive tournament for all participating teams.
