Ryu Hayabusa teams up with Xbox twice

In the first month of the year, Microsoft held a new Xbox Developer_Direct 25 that served as a preamble to the titles that will reach multiple platforms with the peculiarity of being day one in the subscription service called Game Pass, to be enjoyed on various compatible devices.

Ryu Hayabusa will make his appearance in a combo because the Redmond technology giant had an ace up its sleeve to reveal Ninja Gaiden II Black, a remastering of said installment with the Unreal Engine 5 that has been available since the event in question concluded.

Likewise, it was announced that Platinum Games together with Team Ninja are working on Ninja Gaiden 4, which will arrive on the market during the fall, after 13 years of absence. The settings will have a cyberpunk aesthetic touch and a new protagonist will be introduced who goes by the name of Yakumo.

Another surprise was Endless Legend 2, a strategy proposal to conquer territories and conceive alliances or enmities, which is carried out by Amplitude Studios, the creators of Humankind and who recently separated from SEGA.

In the field of what is already known, the JRPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, showed more about its plot, combat and exploration, while South of Midnight, the adventure from Compulsion Games, will delve into the southern United States where the Reality and fantasy merge. Both products will be available in April.

DOOM: The Dark Ages deserves a special mention, which looks spectacular and will be released on May 15. This time exploration will be very important and there will be various open world and sandbox elements. In other news, the arsenal of weapons has been expanded and it will be possible to ride some creatures. For lovers of the physical format, there will be a spectacular collector’s edition.

Since 2024, Xbox has managed to stabilize its line of video games, leaving behind the perception that its ecosystem lacks them, as it has found a balance between first-party productions and external developments that come to Game Pass and continually nourish it.

On the other hand, the Ninja Gaiden franchise has a long tablecloth because to the two experiences mentioned above, it is worth adding Ninja Gaiden: RageBound, which left very good feelings in the last Nintendo Direct, thanks to its unbridled action under a linear mechanics.
