Lalitpur: Veteran Nepali singer Prakash Timilsina was found dead at his residence in Lalitpur on Saturday evening. The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the nation’s music industry.
According to Lalitpur Police Spokesperson Nareshraj Subedi, Timilsina was discovered unresponsive in his bed at around 9 PM. His body has been transported to Patan Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Renowned for his soulful voice and romantic melodies, Timilsina has left an enduring legacy in Nepali music. His songs, including “Priya TiroSiundoma Sindur Bharna Deo,” “Timro Haat Ko Sindoor,” and “Jun Bhandina,” have become timeless classics cherished by generations.
According to family sources, Timilsina’s final rites will be performed at Pashupati today. A public tribute will be held at the Sangeet and Natya Pragya Pratishthan before the cremation ceremony.
