A significant Australian investment has been secured to develop a luxurious resort in the picturesque Rara Lake area of Mugu, Nepal. The agreement was formalized during the recent investment Summit in Kathmandu, with representatives from the Australian Expert Group and Rara Holdings Resort Pvt Ltd signing the investment cooperation.
In the first phase of the project, approximately Rs 70 crore will be invested, followed by an additional Rs 40 crore in the second phase. The resort will be constructed on 80 ropani of land in Chhayanath Rara Municipality-9, Murmatap, Mugu district.
Abhishek Bikram Shah, representing Rara Holdings Resort Pvt Ltd, emphasized that the resort will incorporate local resources and reflect the region’s unique culture. A detailed project report has been prepared, and the goal is to complete the facility within the next year and a half.
