Rautahat: A police constable lost his life in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Sunday in Tallo Bazar, Chandrapur Municipality-6. The accident also resulted in injuries to another person who was riding a pillion.
The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Nabin Kumar Yadav, a constable stationed at Langda Chowk Bara police post in Gulm Bara. He was in Rautahat on official duty when the tragic incident took place.
According to the Area Police Office, Chandranigahpur, the motorcycle (Madhes Pradesh-03-033 Pa 3301) veered off the road while traveling from Chandranigahpur to Santapur. Yadav sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Highway Trauma Hospital in Chandranigahpur, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The pillion rider, 25-year-old Nabin Kumar Chaudhary of Brindaban-1, suffered injuries to his left leg and is currently under treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
The body of the deceased constable has been sent to Chandranigahpur Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
