Traffic on the Prithviraj Highway has been at a standstill since noon today following the collapse due to the flood of the Phedi Khola Bridge in Seratar.
The bridge destruction has caused long queues of vehicles to form on both sides, leaving passengers stranded. Officials say it will likely take some time before traffic flow can be restored.
As the collapsed bridge falls within the Damauli-Khairenitar section of the highway, local authorities are advising travelers to use the Damauli route as an alternative.
