New bridge to be constructed over Saptakoshi river with ADB support

Saptari, Oct 30: A three-kilometer long bridge connecting Kanchanpur of Saptari to Rajabas of Sunsari is going to be constructed as the alternative to the present Koshi Barrage Bridge. The Koshi barrage bridge connects Saptari and Sunsari districts.  

The bridge is to be constructed based on the detailed project report prepared few years ago. The estimated cost of the bridge is Rs 43 billion, shared Director at the Department of Roads Project Directorate, Chuda Raj Dhakal.
