The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index registered a strong gain of 10.14 points on Tuesday, reaching 2,041.70 points for the second consecutive day of positive trading. The exchange experienced a healthy turnover of Rs. 2.35 billion, with 49,512 trades involving 6,842,392 shares across 310 companies.
Most market sectors saw gains today. The production and promotion group led the charge with a 2.11-point increase, followed by a 1.58% rise in the hydropower group. In contrast, the finance, life insurance, and trading groups experienced minor declines.
Dolpa Power Company Limited’s share price reached the positive circuit. Dhaulagiri Microfinance Financial Institution Limited, however, saw a decline of 9.35%.
Shivam Cement Limited led in transaction amount with Rs. 93,139,070 worth of shares traded. Joshi Hydro Power Development Company Limited recorded the highest volume of shares traded at 234,624.
