Nepal Premier League (NPL) Logo Unveiled, Tournament Dates Announced

The inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is set to take place from November 30 to December 21. The logo for this franchise-based tournament, organized by the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), was unveiled on Monday.

Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary announced the NPL logo. The tournament was initially scheduled for March but was postponed due to Nepal’s preparations for the T20 World Cup. CAN Secretary Paras Khadka emphasized the organization’s commitment to bringing together Nepal’s top cricketers and elevating the domestic cricket scene.

The NPL aims to set a new standard for cricket tournaments in Nepal, drawing inspiration from successful leagues worldwide. CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand acknowledged past shortcomings in previous tournaments but expressed optimism for the NPL’s success.

The tournament will feature eight teams competing for the title. The prize money for the winner has not been disclosed yet.
