Samastipur, Bihar, India: A tragic bus accident occurred in Samastipur district on Saturday night, resulting in injuries to at least 30 Nepalese passengers. The incident took place when a bus carrying 43 passengers from Nepal collided with a truck on a highway.
According to local reports, the bus, with the registration number Na 7 Kha 6446, was traveling from Nepal to Deoghar, Jharkhand, to offer water at a shrine. The collision caused the bus to overturn, leading to injuries among the passengers.
Among the injured, five people, including a minor, are reported to be in critical condition. The injured are currently receiving medical treatment at Musrigharari Hospital and private clinics in the area.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the accident and are working to determine the cause of the collision. The truck involved in the incident has been seized by the police.
The incident has caused widespread concern in both Nepal and India. The Chief District Officer of Bara, Shashidhar Ghimire, expressed surprise upon hearing the news, stating that he was not aware of the accident.
