During the National Assembly session, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia presented the bill, which garnered widespread support from lawmakers across the political spectrum.

Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leader of the Maoist Centre parliamentary party, acknowledged the political achievements of the Maoist armed struggle and urged for the institutionalization of these changes. Bhagwati Neupane, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, called for cooperative efforts to complete the remaining tasks of the peace process and urged all political parties to unite in resolving transitional justice issues.
