Maoist Center Holds Vigilance Rally

Kathmandu, Nepal: The Maoist Center organized a vigilance rally on Saturday in Kathmandu to protest against corruption and government negligence in disaster management. The procession, led by the Maoist Center Wagmati, Valley Special and Liaison Coordination Provincial Committee, commenced from Sundhara and is scheduled to pass through Ratnapark, Baghbazar, and culminate in a vigilance meeting at the exhibition route.

Key Demands:

The Maoist Center has outlined a 10-point agenda for the rally, which includes:

  • Searching for missing individuals
  • Distributing relief supplies
  • Providing medical treatment to the injured
  • Constructing temporary housing
  • Implementing reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts

The party aims to mobilize public pressure for good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity. They assert that the rally is necessary to counter the corrupt activities that undermine the government’s efforts towards good governance.

Leadership and Participation:

President Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other prominent leaders of the Maoist Center are expected to address the vigilance meeting. The event has garnered significant attention and participation from party members and supporters.
