Makwanpur: A horrific incident took place in Kailash Rural Municipality on Monday evening when a man murdered his wife.
Mangal Bahadur Pakhrin, 28, from Ward No. 5, Kafal Danda, brutally attacked his 18-year-old wife, Laxmi Pakhrin, with an ax, causing fatal injuries to her head and neck. It is believed that Pakhrin, who had a history of mental health issues, was under the influence of medication at the time of the crime.
Neighbors alerted local authorities after discovering the gruesome act. The police promptly arrested Pakhrin and took him into custody at the Palung Police Office. The couple leaves behind a 13-month-old child.
