Kali Bahadur Kham, 50, former division commander of the Jana Mukti Sena 3rd Division Shaktikhor, has been arrested in Kathmandu and transferred to Chitwan for investigation in a 2008 murder case. Kham, a resident of East Rukum, is accused of involvement in the kidnapping and killing of Ramhari Shrestha of Kathmandu.
Shrestha was allegedly abducted and murdered on May 10, 2008, by the Jana Mukti Sena 3rd Division, then led by Kham. Police began searching for Kham after Shrestha’s wife, Ramila Shrestha, filed a complaint with the Chitwan District Police Office on May 16, 2008.
