Two children, Amil Khadka, 7, and Durga Saud, 13, tragically drowned in the Loharpur Tedi Dam in Kailari Rural Municipality-8, Kailali, on Sunday afternoon.
Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Padam Bahadur Bista reported that Khadka was rescued and transported to Udasipur Primary Health Center, but unfortunately, died during treatment. Saud was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital for further medical attention, where the doctor pronounced him dead.
Both bodies are currently at Seti Provincial Hospital awaiting a post-mortem examination.
