Israel announced on Saturday that it killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a major airstrike in Beirut, though Hezbollah has not confirmed the claim. The Israeli military said the strike also killed other Hezbollah commanders, including Ali Karki. The attack occurred as Hezbollah leadership met in Dahiyeh, south of Beirut. Six civilians were killed, and 91 injured in the strikes, according to Lebanonโs Health Ministry.
Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have escalated, with Israel mobilizing more reserve soldiers and Hezbollah launching attacks across northern Israel. Over 720 people in Lebanon have died from Israeli airstrikes in the past week.
