A 15-year-old boy visiting Palpa from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh in India, has tragically drowned while swimming in the Tinau River.
The victim, Aryan Kumar, was reportedly swimming with a group of 15-16 people, including family members when the incident occurred.
According to Sugandh Shrestha, Information Officer of the Palpa District Police Office, the group immediately alerted authorities after Aryan went missing. A search was conducted, and Aryan was unfortunately found deceased.
This is not the first such incident this year. Police report that six drownings occurred in the area in May-June alone.
