Two elderly Indian nationals were tragically electrocuted in Morang, Nepal, on Wednesday. Kailash Mandal (75) and his wife, Kumadevi Mandal (72), both residents of Bhagalpur, India, lost their lives in the incident.
The couple had been residing in a thatched-roof house in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-5 Naya Toll, where they were renting land for farming. According to police reports, the fatal accident occurred around 11:50 AM when the couple was using a motor to pump water. The electric shock proved fatal, and both victims died instantly.
DSP Gyanendra Bahadur Basnet, the spokesperson for Morang police, confirmed the tragic incident and the circumstances surrounding the couple’s deaths.
