GULMI, Nepal – A motorcycle accident in the Gulmi district has resulted in the death of a 29-year-old man, Anilraj Gharti. Gharti passed away from serious injuries sustained in the accident while undergoing treatment at Gulmi Hospital.
The accident also injured another rider, 31-year-old Yam Bahadur Suryavanshi. Suryavanshi is currently receiving treatment in the neighboring district of Palpa.
According to police reports, the accident occurred Thursday night. The motorcycle, with Gharti and Suryavanshi on board, fell approximately 30 meters from the road while traveling from Gulmidarbar to Birwas.
Shankar Pokharel, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gulmi, confirmed the fatality and provided updates on the injured rider. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
