Lamjung โ Four female students were injured on Thursday morning when they were attacked by a swarm of yellow hornets while walking to school in Lamjung district. The incident occurred around 10:50 AM near the Kangare River forest in Besisahar Municipality-3.
The injured students, all from the sixth to eighth grades at Lamjung High School, were identified as Karuna Tamang (10), Rita Gurung (13), Archana Tamang (12), and Sangita Tamang (13). They were immediately taken to Lamjung Hospital in Besisahar for medical treatment.
According to a teacher at the school, Ratna Bahadur Ghimire, the students were on their way to school when they encountered the hornets. The swarm attacked them, causing injuries to their heads and bodies. The students were said to have suffered additional injuries while trying to escape the attack.
Local police authorities, including Police Inspector Tul Bahadur Shrestha from the District Police Office, responded to the incident. All four students are reported to be in stable condition and receiving necessary medical care.
