A tragic landslide in Bungal Municipality-10, Bajhang, has claimed the lives of four members of the same family. The incident occurred overnight, burying the Dhami family under the debris.
Rescue teams, including local police and volunteers, recovered the bodies of 55-year-old Kali Dhami, 25-year-old Golki Dhami, 6-year-old Akriti Dhami, and 3-year-old Laxmi Dhami.
The landslide struck the home of Bir Bahadur Dhami around 1:30 a.m., causing the house to collapse. While four family members perished, five others, including 16-year-old Kamala Dhami, 30-year-old Ujjwal Dhami, 10-year-old Rashen Dhami, 20-year-old Shanti Dhami, and 71-year-old Ambadatta Joshi, managed to escape with injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Phanindra Bhandari has been dispatched to the area with relief supplies. Authorities are investigating the cause of the landslide and assessing the situation.
