Pokhara, Nepal: A former parliamentarian, Dhaka Kumar Shrestha, has been detained for three days by the Kaski District Court following his arrest on drug-related charges.
Shrestha was apprehended on Thursday after an investigation into the sale of 97 Illegal pills by Prakash Thapamagar, a resident of Rolpa, who was arrested on July 18. Thapamagar claimed to have purchased the drugs from Diya Pharmacy, owned by Shrestha.
The court granted the police’s request for a three-day extension to continue their investigation into the case.
