Rolpa: Five people, including the driver, were injured in an auto accident on Wednesday afternoon in Rolpa district.
The accident occurred at around 3:30 PM when an auto, bearing registration number RA 1 HA 5769, overturned while traveling from Jugar to Lingdung in Triveni Rural Municipality-5, Chabikhola.
The driver, 51-year-old Nim Bahadur BK of Triveni-3 Thakura, lost control of the vehicle, causing the accident. The injured passengers were immediately taken to Nerpa Health Post for initial treatment before being transferred to Dangka Hospital for further medical care.
Among the injured are:
- Nim Bahadur BK (51), the driver, sustained injuries to his right hand but is in stable condition.
- Shanta Gharti (39), left leg injured, was referred to Dang for further treatment.
- Jharana Gharti (16), daughter of Shanta Gharti, with the right hand, was referred to Dang for further treatment.
- Ramita Oli (13), daughter of Top Bahadur Oli, right hand but is in stable condition.
- Himakumari BK (40), left leg injured, referred to Dang for further treatment.
The accident site is approximately 50 kilometers west of the district headquarters, Liwang. Local police are investigating the cause of the accident.
