Electronic Arts has revised its growth indicators downwards for the quarter just ended due to the performance below expectations of two video games: EA Sports FC 25 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

In the case of the BioWare role-playing video game, this involved approximately 1.5 million players, below 50% of the company’s expectations. This means that Electronic Arts expected at least 3 million players for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. However, the biggest disappointment concerns EA Sports FC 25: “The Global Football division has recorded two consecutive fiscal years of double-digit growth. However, the franchise suffered a slowdown as the initial momentum in the fiscal third quarter was not maintained until the end,” reads the press release.

For these reasons, Electronic Arts has made it known that it expects a slight decline in revenues related to live services for the fiscal year 2025, against the slight increase initially expected. However, the complete financial data will be released on February 4, 2025.
