Thieves have targeted an electricity transformer in Chandrapur Municipality, Rautahat stealing valuable copper components. The 50 KVA transformer, belonging to the Balchanpur Water Supply and Sanitation Consumer Committee, was discovered with its internal parts missing.
Committee Chairman Baliram Sah reported that the transformer was intact on Monday evening but was found stripped of copper on Tuesday morning. The Committee has filed a report with the Chandranigapur area police to investigate the theft.
