The new Edits application seeks to be your new ally to get the best video and share it on Instagram in a matter of seconds or minutes. New competition is coming to ByteDance’s CapCut, which was recently hit in the United States.
While the video editing app found itself in trouble with the US government, Meta introduces its own free video editor for creators, called Edits.
For now, the app is available for pre-order in the App Store and is expected to be released during the month of March. An Android version is also expected during the same date.
Edits, the new app to edit Instagram video arrives this year
Edits allows users to capture and edit footage to create vertical videos that can be published on any platform. If you decide to post it to Instagram, the app will provide you with information about the performance of the live video, such as viewer engagement, thanks to its integration with Instagram Reels.
Edits includes a dedicated Inspiration tab and all the standard CapCut tools, such as green screen, video overlays, caption generation, and voiceover. You can use the AI animation feature built into the app to bring images to life.
Edits also allow you to adjust the camera’s resolution, frame rate, dynamic range, flash, and zoom. The app also allows creators to collaborate and share video drafts.
