A dengue outbreak has swept across Nepal since last December, infecting over 2,300 people and claiming one life in Tanahun district. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) has confirmed cases in 73 districts nationwide.
Kathmandu Valley, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces have reported the highest number of infections. While the overall number of cholera cases is on the rise, no deaths related to the disease have been recorded thus far.
Health authorities are urging the public to take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of both dengue and cholera.
