A 60-year-old cyclist, Ramesh Pandey, lost his life after being struck by a gas bullet in Hetauda on Saturday morning. The tragic incident occurred on the east-west highway near Gorakheshwor Temple.
Pandey, a resident of Bhaktapur, was riding his bicycle from Hetaunda market towards Thanabharyang when he was hit by a gas bullet. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Hetauda Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
According to Makwanpur District Police, the gas bullet, identified as NL 01 L 9026, has been seized, and the driver responsible for firing it is currently in police custody. A thorough investigation into the incident is underway.
