Child Swept by River Kathmandu

Kathmandu: A 12-year-old boy has been reported missing after being swept away by a river in Tarakeshwar Municipality-5 of Kathmandu.

Bimal Tamang, the son of Birman Tamang, was last seen near the vegetable market of Lolang on Tuesday evening. According to Kathmandu District Police Complex Spokesperson Nawaraj Adhikari, the boy was swept away by the Nagin River while trying to retrieve an umbrella that had fallen into the water.

Search and rescue efforts have been ongoing since the incident, but so far, there has been no sign of the missing child. Bimal, a native of Uttargaya rural municipality-1 in Rasuwa, was living with his family in Tarakeshwar.
