The body of a woman who went missing after jumping into the Pobang Lungri River in East Rolpa has been recovered in Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality-2, Sera Bagar.

The police identified the deceased as 27-year-old Sumitra Nepali, a resident of Sulichaur in Sunil Smriti Rural Municipality-4. She lived with her husband, Dipak Nepali, in Bahrakhutte house, Rapti Village-2, Ekata Nagar, Rolpa.

After receiving a report of her disappearance, a police search team found Sumitraโ€™s body floating in the river on Tuesday. The search, led by Police Sub-Inspector Bhaskar Giri, included seven police units and around 20 locals. The body was located about 6 kilometers downstream from the spot where she was last seen, according to Inspector Bijay Chapagain of the District Police Office, Rolpa.
