January has just started and Bayern has already officially announced its first signing for the 2025-26 season: Tom Bischof (Aschaffenburg, 6-28-2005).

The young Hoffenheim playmaker, whose contract ends in June, arrives at the Allianz Arena for free to reinforce the midfield. Bischof, who was awarded the Fritz Walter gold medal in 2024 for the greatest German talent in the under 19 category, signs until 2029.

“Tom Bischof is one of the greatest German talents and has aroused interest at an international level. At only 19 years old he has acquired a wealth of experience in professional football, in the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup and the Europa League,” warns Christoph Freund, director Bayern sports.

“Tom is an exceptional player with incredible potential. He has a very solid left foot, is good at set pieces and has great passing ability,” said Max Eberl, general sports director.

At 19 years old, he has played 53 games, two goals and five assists for Hoffenheim. In fact, he is the youngest player in Hoffenheim history (16 years and 263 days) to debut in the Bundesliga.
