Bangladeshi Man Intercepted in Nepal Border Crackdown

A 46-year-old Bangladeshi citizen was intercepted and turned back at Nepal’s Rani border in Morang on Tuesday. The individual was attempting to enter Nepal from India’s Jogbani.

The incident comes amid heightened security measures along the Nepal-Bangladesh border following the political crisis in Bangladesh. The Nepalese government has deployed additional security personnel to prevent illegal infiltration.

Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force jointly apprehended the Bangladeshi citizen during routine border checks.
