Banepa, Nepal – A passenger bus veered off course and struck a residence in Banepa Municipality-12, Bansdol Thumka, on Monday morning, injuring twelve passengers. The incident sent shockwaves through the local community and has prompted an ongoing investigation into its cause.

The bus, identified as Ba 2 B 9456, was en route from Bansdol to Banepa when it reportedly lost control. It collided with the gate of a two-and-a-half-storey concrete house owned by Shiva Prasad Gyawali. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as passengers were thrown from their seats.

Kavre district police confirmed the bus was carrying 30 passengers. The injured, including the driver, were immediately rushed to Shir Memorial Hospital in Banepa. Their conditions are currently unknown, but hospital staff are working diligently to provide care.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Authorities are examining potential factors such as mechanical failure, driver error, or road conditions. Residents of Bansdol Thumka have expressed concern for the injured and are anxiously awaiting updates from the hospital.
