Bandipur Sees Surge in Tourism During Dashain

The popular tourist destination of Bandipur, located in Tanahu district, Nepal, has witnessed a significant increase in tourist activity, particularly during the recent Dashain holidays. Domestic tourists have flocked to the area, drawn by its scenic beauty and cultural attractions.

To cater to the growing number of visitors, the Bandipur Tourism Development Committee has prepared a list of 17 must-see destinations, including the Thanimai Temple, Mani Mukundeshwari Wall (often referred to as the “Mini Great Wall”), Vindhyavasini Temple, Pataledwar Cave, Martyr Memorial Garden, and more. These attractions are highlighted in seven languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and French.

Among the international visitors, Chinese tourists have been particularly prominent. Bandipur has gained popularity among tourists from various countries, including Japan, China, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, France, the USA, Germany, Denmark, Pakistan, Australia, the UK, Ireland, South Korea, Belgium, Thailand, Switzerland, Malaysia, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Iran, India, Greece, and Argentina.

One of the main draws for tourists to Bandipur is the opportunity to admire the majestic snow-capped mountain ranges, such as Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri.
