The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open of Spain presented by Oysho has already started and Ana Peláez is still as successful as last week, when she won the Spanish Women’s Professional Championship. The Malaga native closed her victory there with a 67 and today she started with an extraordinary 66 in the national open. However, the leader is the Finnish Noora Komulainen, a player without victories on the circuit, who scored 65 strokes. Carlota Ciganda has also started very successfully, and the Navarrese has delivered a card of 67.

Peláez left a great taste in the mouth, supported by a very solid game. The Andalusian took advantage of three of the four par 5s at the Real Club Guadalhorce. She chained six birdies in a row, from 7 to 12. There is a lot left, but Ana is recovering her best version in this final stretch of the course. Ciganda, for his part, made up ground on his second nine holes (starting on the 10th), in which he made four birdies. She closed her carousel of birdies with a long putt on the 8th that places her sixth on a course she played when she was 14 years old.

Marta Martín, who seeks to enter the ‘top 10’ of the annual ranking to directly enter the LPGA school final, shot 68. She would have to finish in the top three to achieve the goal of the final Q-Series. Marta Sanz Barrio and Harang Lee scored 69, compared to the 70 of Teresa Toscano and the amateur Paula Martín.
